Spring's here. The clocks have changed, the days are longer, and somewhere between the daffodils and the first barbecue of the year, something shifts. So why is your cup of coffee still the same as it was in January?
We get it, when you find a coffee you love, you stick with it. But hear us out, what if you tried something new? The season of spring is the perfect excuse to shake up your routine. No commitment required. Just a bag of something brilliant and a fresh reason to get out of bed.
Whether its an extra bag that you add to your regular order, or you fancy switching your usual and trying something else instead, now's the time to sip out of your comfort zone.
You might just discover a new favourite you never would have found otherwise - an unexpected coffee that becomes your coffee. The one you recommend to friends, the one that makes Monday mornings slightly less intolerable. The world of coffee is vast, and your next go-to brew is just one order away. The only way to find out, is to try something new!
Here are a few coffees we've been loving lately, each one ready and waiting for you to discover.
Brazil Santos £7.50
The easy-going crowd-pleaser. Named after the famous Brazilian port where it begins its journey to the rest of the world, a journey that's been happening since the 19th century, Brazil Santos comes with some serious heritage behind it. Brazil has been the world's largest coffee producer for over 150 years, and Santos has long been at the heart of that story.
In the cup it's everything you'd want from an everyday brew: low acidity, a pleasant aroma and a light-bodied smoothness that makes it perfect for cafetière and filter. The flavour is rich and comforting, think creamy cocoa, nuttiness and a hint of peanut that makes it incredibly easy to drink. If you want to try something new without straying too far from familiar territory, this is the one.
Honduras SHG £8.00
SHG stands for Strictly High Grown and altitude really does matter. Cultivated above 1,200 metres in Honduras's lush mountain regions, the cooler temperatures slow down the ripening process, creating denser beans with remarkable depth and a naturally sweeter flavour. Pair that with fertile soils, varied microclimates and increasingly skilled farmers, and you've got a country quietly becoming one of specialty coffee's most exciting producers.
In the cup, expect nutty, chocolate and toffee flavours with a smooth, balanced body and a bright, orangey finish that keeps things lively. Clean, vibrant and endlessly drinkable — this one's well worth adding to your rotation.
Kenyan Peaberry £8.50
Kenyan Peaberry isn't your everyday coffee and that starts with the bean itself. Peaberries are a natural quirk: instead of two flat-sided seeds forming inside the coffee cherry, just one oval bean develops. Because peaberries are denser, they roast more evenly and deliver a more concentrated, vibrant version of their flavours. The result is a cup that's absolutely full of life.
These 100% arabica speciality beans are grown in the rich volcanic soils of the Kirinyaga District in the Kenyan Highlands, hand-selected and roasted with care to bring out their bold, unique character. In the cup, expect bright citrus acidity layered with juicy fruit notes, a rounded aroma and a finish that's smooth and impeccably clean. Lively, complex, and distinctly brilliant.
Vietnam Son La Arabica £7.50 (Limited Edition)
Something a little bit different but it won't be around for long. Our newest coffee, and honestly one of the most interesting things in our range right now. Son La Arabica comes from Son La Province in north-western Vietnam, a mountainous area sitting above 1,000 metres, with cool temperatures, seasonal heavy rains and cold winters that set it apart from what most people picture when they think of Vietnamese coffee.
The result in the cup? A bright, clean and delicate profile with notes of citrus, red apple and floral hints, rounded off with a light caramel sweetness. It's a lovely, characterful brew that might just surprise you.
It's limited edition so if your curiosity is piqued, don't leave it too long!
Kenyan Blue Mountain AA £10.00
A little treat, fully deserved. If you're going to splash out a little, make it this one. Kenyan Blue Mountain AA is a proper special-occasion coffee, not in a stuffy, intimidating way, but in a treat yourself on a Tuesday kind of way.
AA is the top grade, meaning these are the largest, most carefully selected beans. The result is a beautifully balanced cup with bright, clean flavours and a smoothness that makes every sip feel like a good decision.
Ready to Mix It Up?
All of these are available now and if you can't decide, there's nothing stopping you trying a couple. That's the beauty of small-batch coffee - each bag is its own little adventure!
